Butterfly Convention illustration Sphere Two marks a new
Description
Sphere Two marks a new direction in my work with a switch to the mediums of oil paint and cold wax
This bush carries delicate little yellow flowers that peek out from its glossy pointed leaves
Settled on a mantelpiece
and strangers all around
beauty and grace amid adversity this tree has shown as I travel through my own life
Butterfly Convention illustration Sphere Two marks a newMixed media (printers ink, watercolor, India ink) on Arches watercolor paper Image size 6" x 6", Paper size 11" x 11" Masking the butterflies, I printed a layer of dark ink to make their colorful watercolored wings glow. Did you know a group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope?
